by Milk Bar on Aug 20 2025
At Milk Bar, we are always looking for products that make the lives of young parents just a little bit easier and more beautiful. One of the essentials every parent encounters? That's why we let parents the Fresk lunchbox Testing: a trendy and sustainable lunchbox specially designed for little children's hands. How does this lunchbox perform in everyday life? You can read about it in these honest reviews. 1. TESTERS : NALANI, ADRIANA & LIVIO Just a quick introduction Nalani tested the lunchbox together with her daughter, Adriana (4 years old), and her son, Livio (1.5 years old). The lunchbox was tried out during the holiday at home, on outings, and during a picnic. Nalani also took the lunchbox to work to test it thoroughly. First impression "Very nice! Beautiful color and fun with those drawings. My little daughter also really liked it with the seahorses." What immediately stood out during the first use was that it was a sturdy lunchbox with a divider. The size Nalani and her children liked it. Not too big and not too small either. Because Nalani thinks it's important to always include some snack vegetables with her daughter's lunch, the partition handy. That way, she doesn’t have to include a separate box. Looks score: 8.5 / 10 ⭐ "Simple yet beautiful and stylish. Thanks to the simple drawings without much fuss, very nice for kids." Ease of use Nalani really liked the lunchbox easyFor her, closing and opening went very smoothly. For her little daughter, Adriana, opening was also very easy, but closing was still a bit difficult. That will take some more practice. Fortunately, the preschool teachers usually help out with this. De subdivision Nalani and her kids found the lunchbox very handy. The only downside Nalani noticed was that the divider piece can't be removed for washing. On the other hand, she also sees this as a big advantage because it prevents the contents of one compartment from mixing with the other. We also asked Nalani if the cleaning was going smoothly: "Yes, easy to clean because it is a metal lunchbox The only thing that makes it a bit more difficult is the middle piece under the edge. But the lunchbox can also fit in the dishwasher(We cleaned the top drawer). Then this problem will be resolved as well. We use eco dishwasher tablets, and so far the silicone hasn’t absorbed any flavors or odors." Adriana is going to use her lunchbox next school year. "Because the lunchbox is leak-proof, it is very suitable for her school bag. The condition is that it must be properly closed again to take it back home.. So still some practice needed, or possibly with some help from the teacher." Ease of use score: 8/10 ⭐ Final verdict - Strongest point: that it is a leak-proof lunchbox. - Materials: "Very sturdy and no plastic. Due to the negative aspects of plastic, we avoid using it. Previously, my little daughter had a metal lunchbox, but with a matte plastic lid. The downside of that is that if it falls hard, pieces can break off. To make it leak-proof, there was a silicone ring inside, but she has since lost it. The lunchbox can no longer close and is therefore no longer usable. With the lunchbox to be tested (from Fresk), this is not a problem thanks to the silicone lid!" Final verdict: "Actually really very satisfied. I definitely recommend it. When I opened the box, I was immediately enthusiastic about the color and appearance. I find it very important that a lunchbox is leak-proof, so you can also pack something other than just bread. And that is the case here. You can also put a small jar in it, for example a dressing, seeds, ... Total score: 9/10 ⭐ Where can you find this lunchbox on our website? TESTERS: NATHALIE AND STAN Just a quick introduction Mama Nathalie, a primary school teacher, tested the lunchbox for us together with her son, Stan (5 years old). The lunchbox was tested during the holiday period, so they mainly used it for snacks (cherry tomatoes, grapes, melon, apple, banana, sweets, cookies, etc.), but also for sandwiches. The lunchbox went everywhere with them: the playground, walks, and even on vacation to Austria and the Efteling! How fun is that? I think Stan had a really great holiday.) First impression We asked Nathalie and Stan what their first impression was: "Stan chose the design himself on the site. He was immediately excited because it features dinosaurs." During use, the following was noted:Very pleasant material. I’m usually wary of silicone lids and the like because they often attract dust, but with this box, we haven’t experienced that at all!" About the size from the booddoos: "To my feeling, the lunchbox is just right slightly larger than an average toddler lunchbox and I find this ideal. That way, you can easily add something extra to the sandwiches without having to flatten them." Looks score: 10/10 ⭐     Nathalie and Stan like the lunchbox very practical in use, dThe compartmentalization of the lunchbox is convenient, especially since the two sections are spacious. Stan will also take this lunchbox to school in September. size is ideal and the lunchbox user-friendly," says Mom Nathalie. We also asked if Stan could easily use the lunchbox himself. And yes! After a few tries, he had it down. About the cleaning: "Washing up is a breeze. I haven't put them in the dishwasher yet because we often use tomato sauce, and I'm worried the lid might turn pink. Normally, I really don't enjoy washing up, but this is such a smooth and even material that it takes no more than a minute to clean." What else stood out?Of course, a toddler sometimes drops the lunchbox
And I was a bit worried about that. Actually, the lunchbox has held up quite well. It's also remarkable that the lid seals very tightly, preventing juice from 'wetter fruit' from leaking out." Ease of use score: 10/10 ⭐ Final verdict · - What did mom Nathalie think of it? strongest point from the lunchbox? "I really like the size. No more stuffing food into a box that's too small OR having to take three little boxes." - We also asked if she would bring the lunchbox recommend to other parents: "Definitely.
