The Australian brand assigns a TOG value to its sleeping bags. The higher the value, the warmer the fabric and thus the sleeping bag. There is an ideal version for every (room) temperature and season: tailored to the baby's age, particularly beautiful, and very user-friendly.

All ergoPouch products are made from 100% natural materials, such as organic cotton, bamboo, and merino wool. The filling of the sleeping bags is also completely natural. This is important because children sleep less well in synthetic materials. Moreover, ergoPouch sleeping bags are super comfortable due to the stretch inserts on the sides and top. What are TOG values? 

TOG stands for Thermisch Overall Klasse. It is a guideline to indicate to what extent, among other things, sleeping bags retain body heat. The higher the TOG value, the harder it is for heat to escape through the fabric. And the lower the TOG value, the more heat loss occurs.

Sleeping bags usually have a TOG value ranging from 0.5 TOG to 3.5 TOG. A very light, fresh summer sleeping bag is 0.5 TOG and a very warm winter sleeping bag is 3.5 TOG.

NOTE: TOG values are purely indicative. It is always important to check yourself whether your child is not too warm or too cold.

Thanks to the simple design with zipper, you can put a baby safe 'swaddling' - and create a sense of closeness and comfort - without having to wrap it up complicatedly. The zipper works in two directions, allowing you to change a diaper easily and quickly!

Moreover, this sleeping bag made of very stretchy, organic cottonThis means that the Cocoon sleeping bag grows along with the baby and ensures healthy development of the shoulder joints.

Thanks to the snap fasteners at arm level can you also 'convert' this sleeping bag to one with arm openings as soon as the baby starts to roll, so you can use it longer. Washing instructions: 
Wash gently and cold in the washing machine, at 30° and with a mild detergent. Hang the sleeping bag to dry, but it's best not to do this in full sun during the summer. Tumble drying is not recommended, but the sleeping bags can be lightly ironed.

Why TOG values?

The ideal temperature for your child's room is between 16°C and 20°C. To ensure that your baby does not overheat while sleeping, we use TOG values. These values indicate which sleeping bag is most suitable for which temperature. This way, you can omit unnecessary blankets, making your child's sleep much safer.

After three months your baby can start rolling and the use of the cocoon function is not recommended. Tapering off can be done by first leaving one arm free with falling asleep and then leaving both of your baby's arms free. Your baby is now used to falling asleep quietly and independently.

• with a fever. Your baby will not be able to get rid of heat.
