If the cord is dirty, wipe it off with a damp cloth using a little dish soap or warm water with a mild detergent. Always dry the clip if it gets wet. Otherwise, it may start to rust with prolonged contact with liquid or moisture.
The metal clip is only designed for attachment to clothing. It should not be forced onto thicker items such as the stroller or bouncer, as this could damage the closure mechanism.
